TruXedo TruXport Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover
We designed the TruXport soft roll-up tonneau cover to give truck owners a perfect balance of security, weather protection, and easy bed access. This low-profile cover installs in minutes without drilling and operates with one hand, rolling up and securing behind the cab when you need full bed access.
The TruXport features our dual-latch system that locks at the tailgate for security while the tension-adjustable design keeps your cargo protected from rain, snow, and road debris. Whether you're hauling tools to the job site or weekend gear, this cover reduces drag for improved fuel economy while maintaining the clean lines of your truck.
- No-drill installation with clamp-on rail system fits most truck beds in under 30 minutes
- MaxTop™ fabric resists tears, UV damage, and extreme weather conditions
- Dual-sided latching system secures at tailgate with integrated locking capability
- Low-profile design sits flush with bed rails for aerodynamic performance
- One-hand roll-up operation with quick-release buckles for fast bed access
MaxTop Fabric Construction & Weather Sealing

The TruXedo TruXport soft roll-up tonneau features our proprietary MaxTop fabric, a commercial-grade vinyl-coated polyester that stands up to years of UV exposure, temperature extremes, and weather abuse. We engineered this material to remain flexible in freezing conditions while resisting cracking and fading in intense summer heat.
Weather seals run continuously along both side rails and the front bulkhead, creating a barrier against water intrusion. While no soft tonneau cover offers completely waterproof protection, the TruXport’s overlapping seal design and tension-adjustable system minimize moisture entry during rain and snow. The fabric’s tight weave also blocks road dust and debris from contaminating your cargo during highway driving.
Installation Process & Truck Compatibility

No-Drill Clamp System
We built the TruXport around a clamp-on rail system that eliminates drilling into your truck bed. The side rails attach to the top of your bed rails using adjustable clamps every 12-16 inches, distributing tension evenly across the mounting points. Most truck owners complete installation in 20-30 minutes with basic hand tools.
The cover fits most full-size and mid-size truck beds including Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, RAM 1500, Toyota Tundra, GMC Sierra, and Nissan Titan models. Bed lengths of 5’6″, 6’6″, and 8′ are accommodated with model-specific rail sets. The system works with spray-in bedliners, drop-in liners, and bare truck beds, though some thick drop-in liners may require spacer shims.
Operating the Roll-Up System

The TruXport operates with a simple roll-and-latch mechanism that requires only one hand. To open, you release the dual latches at the tailgate, then roll the fabric forward toward the cab. Hook-and-loop fasteners along the underside secure the rolled bundle to mounting straps behind the cab, keeping the cover neatly contained while you load cargo.
Closing the cover takes seconds—simply unhook the bundle, unroll the fabric toward the tailgate, and engage both latches. The fabric’s built-in tension adjustment lets you fine-tune the tightness by turning screws on the side rails, ensuring a drum-tight fit that won’t sag or flap at highway speeds. We recommend checking tension every few months and after major temperature swings.

Common Questions About the TruXport Roll-Up Cover
The TruXport works with spray-in bedliners, drop-in liners, and bare truck beds without modification. The adjustable clamp system accommodates most bedliner thicknesses by positioning higher or lower on the bed rail.
Some extra-thick drop-in liners (over 0.75 inches) may require spacer shims, which we can provide upon request. The clamps distribute pressure across multiple points to prevent bedliner damage during installation.
The TruXport provides excellent water resistance through overlapping weather seals and tension-adjustable fabric, but it's not 100% waterproof like hard tonneau covers. The continuous side rail seals and front bulkhead barrier block most water during normal rain and car washes.
Minor moisture may enter during extreme weather or prolonged exposure to standing water. We recommend avoiding pressure washers directly on seals and ensuring proper fabric tension to maximize weather protection for your cargo.
Yes, the TruXport installs in 20-30 minutes with basic hand tools and no drilling required. The clamp-on rail system attaches to your bed rails using included hardware, and our detailed instructions guide you through each step.
Most truck owners complete installation solo, though having a second person can help align the rails during initial positioning. All necessary mounting clamps, latches, and adjustment tools come included in the package.
When fully rolled open, the TruXport secures in a compact 10-12 inch bundle just behind the cab. This low-profile bundle sits below most rear window sight lines and doesn't obstruct visibility when properly secured.
The cover's slim profile when closed (approximately 1 inch above bed rails) also maintains your truck's original rear visibility without adding bulk that blocks your view.
The TruXport fabric can support approximately 300-400 pounds of evenly distributed weight when properly tensioned. This capacity handles typical cargo loads, tool boxes, and equipment without sagging.
Avoid placing concentrated point loads on the fabric or stacking cargo above the bed rail height, which can stress the material and mounting system. For heavy-duty applications requiring higher weight capacity, consider our hard rolling tonneau covers instead.
Tension adjustment screws are located on each side rail near the front bulkhead. Turn these screws clockwise to increase tension and counterclockwise to decrease, making small quarter-turn adjustments on both sides to maintain even tightness.
Proper tension creates a drum-tight surface that sheds water and resists wind flutter at highway speeds. Check tension every few months and after major temperature changes, as fabric can naturally relax over time or contract in cold weather.
Yes, the TruXport is compatible with most fifth-wheel and gooseneck hitches when rolled forward toward the cab. The compact rolled bundle occupies about 12 inches of bed space, leaving the rear bed area clear for hitch operation.
You'll need to roll the cover open before connecting trailers, then can close it again over cargo in the front bed section. Some custom hitch installations with raised rails may require verification of clearance before ordering.
